Junior Content Publishing Assistant

Are you a bright Marketing or Communications Junior/Graduate looking to move into one of the most respected companies in the world?

We are working on a fantastic Content Publishing Assistant role for one of the world's largest gaming companies, based in Reading, where you will be responsible for uploading all content onto their web portal using a custom CMS. This will include entertainment content such as games, films, music etc. Therefore a passion for entertainment and gaming would be ideal.

As a Content Publishing Assistant, you will be expected to have previous media related experience and experience of working with Content Management Systems, such as Wordpress, Joomla etc. A basic knowledge of HTML and Photoshop would be an advantage. You must have an eye for detail, as part of your job will be ensuring all content uploaded has no errors.

This is a rare opportunity to join a respected global brand, with plenty of opportunity for progression within the company.

The role is offered on an initial contract running until the end of June 2014 at £22,000 - £23,000 per annum + bonus and benefits.

Success Criteria:

* Quick transition into team – getting up to speed on tools
* Keeps portal fresh with new content on a daily/weekly basis across all markets with 100% accuracy
* Demonstrates ability to manage and resolve technical issues
* Understands regional sensitivities and priorities
* Identifies asset requirements with keen attention to detail
* Aids in the production and construction of content using content management tools
* Works well as part of a team, as well as independently
* Proactive with fast reaction skills when content may require changing/updating quickly

Experience and Professional Qualification Requirements:

Essential:

* A strong proficiency with content management tools and processes
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment
* Experience of working to schedules in a daily or weekly content publishing environment
* Ability to absorb & note information in meetings and support Producer
* Proven working knowledge in creating content for multiple audience types in an online environment, preferably in the entertainment industry
* Experience & proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* A basic knowledge of Photoshop
*BA/BS or equivalent

Desirable:

* Fluency in one more European languages beneficial but not essential
* Strong editorial skills, particularly an ability to write concise headlines and descriptions that adhere to tight character restrictions
* A basic knowledge of HTML
* Degree in information management, communications, English, journalism or related discipline

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to prioritise workload effectively and be extremely organised
• Positive outlook, and happy to work as part of a production team as well as individually
