Our client, one of the world’s most popular consumer software products is looking for a Content Editor to work on copy for their Mac and Windows applications.

You will have a strong interest in technology and either be a recent journalism graduate or have experience of writing your own blog or for established websites. Your words will be seen by hundreds of millions of users, so an ability to write engaging content is a must! Someone who doesn’t need to rely on spellcheck to spot grammatical errors would be ideal.

The role involves:

• Liaising with various in-house departments – Design, Development, Engineering, Project Management and Legal – to manage terminology and update content.
• Tracking work requests and organising your workload to tight deadlines.
• Creating, copy-editing, correcting and proofreading text strings across several desktop clients.
• Working with other client editors to align strings across platforms.
• Deliver high quality, consistent content using the team’s style guides, tone of voice, tools and templates.
• Contribute content and iterate, reflecting insights gained from research.
• Participate constructively in design reviews with engineering, provide feedback, and file bugs.
• Work with cross-discipline teams, share information and encourage good team morale.
• Ensure content is localisable and accessible.
• Provide accurate time estimates and meet content delivery commitments.
• Use the client’s software regularly to understand it thoroughly and discover ways to improve it.

The role is offered on an initial 3 month contract with a good chance of extending or going permanent. The client is looking to offer a salary of £22K pro-rata + benefits, including free breakfast and lunch, 25 days paid holiday (pro-rata) and a discretionary bonus of up to 15%.

NOTE: Application deadline is Friday 28th of June at 4PM. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
