Jr. Web Developer / Content Migration

We're working with an Education industry client to build a team of of Web Developer / Content Administrators for a large content migration project! In this role, you will be responsible for migrating courses and components of web-based learning content from one platform to another.

Start Date: Early October
Duration: Up to 6 months
Hours: Up to 40 per week
Location: Onsite in Denver area for an introductory training session for 4-5 days; All other work can be done remotely
Rate: Up to $15/hr DOE

Responsibilities:
-Provide consistent, clean, and organized web development work by converting raw course content into static and/or interactive, web-ready content to be added to the client's course delivery system
-Migrate (copy & paste) content from one platform to another using defined course maps. This includes moving and re-linking of code and files
-Add text and images to online courses
-Retrieve and troubleshoot automated errors during conversion process and implements solutions within defined parameters
-Develop online educational content by using web scripting languages (HTML, XML, Style Sheets, JavaScript, etc.). This can include creating new code and reconstruction of existing code
-Provide excellent customer service internally and externally to non-technical co-workers and customers
-Practice QA testing of automated and manual work
-Track work progress and QA outcomes utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word
-Daily reporting/communication with team and Project Manager.

Requirements:
-Advanced knowledge and creation of HTML
-Beginning to intermediate knowledge of XML, JavaScript, Action Script, Flash, Adobe, Macromedia and other applications related to design and development of online course content.
-Strong skills related to troubleshooting and Quality Assurance testing
-Highly detail-oriented
-Ability to meet deadlines
-Ability to work in a team setting
-Ability to multitask
-Ability to problem solve
-Effective verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent organizational skills
-Understanding and usage of Microsoft Windows and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
