Jr. Web Channel Project Manager

Our fantastic forward-thinking Fortune 500 client who offers world-class Charge and Credit Cards, Rewards, Travel, Business Services, and more is in need of a skilled contract/freelance Jr. Web Channel Project Manager. This role is onsite in NYC, Wall Street area, 40 hours a week for 11 months (until 12/31/17).

The sweet spot for this client is someone who has 2 - 3 years of digital project management experience preferably on an agile team, has worked in a corporate environment before (understands the process/ stakeholder involvement) and can work well within a team that has to manage expectations from business, tech and from our market partners. Someone who is a team player but can also lay down the law diplomatically.

As contract Jr. Web Channel Project Manager, within the a new group - Web Channel Marketing Group Enterprise Digital, you will keep day-to-day activity running smoothly for the ‘end-to-end’ journey of the global home page, navigation, and site enhancement. As web applications are migrated into the new content management system, this role will also act as gatekeeper to ensure best practice guidelines are adhered to by engaging with local markets globally.

• Work with (9) Web and Tech Developers and Business Stakeholder partners to properly scope their requests and prepare content of ‘user-stories’ and ‘backlogs’.
• Work alongside the client’s Tech team in securing cost estimates and funding approval for requests as well as create complete user stories for requests.
• Prioritize the stories based on various components including requested launch date, business urgency, market-tier and submission date. Consult with the appropriate web application Product Owner to resolve any prioritization issues and communicate with the tech team to understand their work capacity.
• Work with the engineers to understand and unblock any impediments they may have with assets or information provided by the various requesters and provide accurate reporting.
• Handle escalations when requesters wish to change scope following the development effort.
• Liaise with business partners to ensure the proper follow up information and approval is received according to timelines.
• Participate in the Scrum Agile ceremonies; product backlog refinement, daily standup, sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospectives.
• Become a subject matter expert in the client’s new content management system and support business stakeholders in reviewing and editing their content whilst ensuring that our best practice guidelines are adhered to.
• Act as site manager by building new pages to scale out our new strategic web experiences.

Experience Required:
• Advanced experience working with Scrum and Kanban teams, Jira, Adobe Experience Manager, and Excel Tools.
• Ability to multi-task across multi-market web experiences with a proven track record of technology & business stakeholder management.
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to work with an energetic and dynamic team and work across a remote and onsite team.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to different working practices.
• A serious attention to detail is a plus.
