Jr. UX Researcher

Aquent's client, an American multinational technology company specializing in Internet-related services and products, is seeking a Jr. UX Researcher for a 12–month assignment.
Pay: Up to 29.70/hr.

As a junior level user experience researcher, you'll have the opportunity to conduct & support research activities in developing innovative, user-friendly, best-of-breed products. You should have strong analytical skills, experience conducting user research in a real world setting, excellent communication skills, and an eye for observing the nuances of human behavior.

Responsibilities:
- conducting user research across a variety of methods
- leading user research preparation activities
- assist in preparation & execution of user research led by other team members
- independently drawing basic conclusions from data sets
- conducting in-person user interviews
- qualitative & quantitative (at least basic statistics) data analysis
- creating summary documentation for group presentations

Requirements:
- minimum 1 year experience conducting user research
- skilled at conducting in-person interviews
- detail-oriented, independent working style
- understands basic (user experience) research methods
- comfortable with and skilled at analyzing large qualitative datasets (e.g., interview videos, transcripts, open-ended survey responses)
- understands basic statistical concepts
- excited to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- strong oral and written communication skills
- B.S./B.A. in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or other related human centric field

Preference:
- has conducted qualitative interviews, clinical or ethnographic
