Jr. Social Media Analyst

We are looking for a Jr. Social Media Analyst for a 6 month contract with our client in downtown Minneapolis.

Assignment Description:
This position will support the social advertising team and work closely with the social content and creative teams. The ideal candidate combines exceptional analytic abilities with strong strategic acumen and a deep understanding of social advertising (rule based optimization experience with bid management software preferred PMDs or similar PPC Bid Management tools).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inform paid social media plans and lead execution and optimization to meet business objectives
- Manage paid social advertising campaign budgets across platforms.
- Perform data-driven campaign optimizations. Measuring, monitoring, and optimizing using platform tools and/or third party (Facebook Ads, Power Editor, Twitter Ads, YouTube Trueview Instream/Adwords, PMD)
- Develop quantitative analyses, custom models and ad hoc reports to effectively monitor performance, trends, and opportunities across social's Paid, Owned, and Earned media
- Provide weekly and monthly campaign reporting with analytical insight based on tracking and conversion data in to order optimize paid social campaigns
- Assist with creation of Paid, Owned and Earned Social measurement plans
- Ability to identify and clarify campaign objectives, lead development of campaign KPIs.
- Create site tagging strategy for campaign measurement and tracking. Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide recommendation on data integration (tool functionality, enhancements, new technology)
- Develop data-informed best practices and recommendations for social advertising and optimization across paid, owned and earned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year college degree and/or equivalent experience
- Strong background in math, statistics or economics
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Strong data-based storytelling & visualization skills, namely the ability to take complex data and present it in in a clear and simple manner
- Detailed oriented
- Strong critical thinking skills, writing skills, communication skills, consulting skills, and ability to work within a team.
- Self-starter, with strong ability to initiate projects and see-through to completion.
- Previous experience with: Facebook Ads, Facebook Insights, Power Editor, Twitter Ads, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Adwords, Curalate
- Understanding of data warehouse a plus
- Knowledge of site analytics tools such as Omniture, Google Analytics a plus
- Knowledge of digital media
- Troubleshooting and solution recommendation
