Jr. Project Manager

As a Jr Project Manager you will assist with all aspects of project management including schedule development, status reporting, coordinating release communications and scope verification. You will learn both the business rationale and the technical requirements of projects in order to communicate both effectively and efficiently.

The Jr Project Manager will assist Project Managers in leading cross-functional teams made up of business analysts, product owners, product strategists, content strategists, information architects, UX/UI designers, engineers and web developers. You will be involved throughout the product development lifecycle including ideation, strategy, design, development and pre/post launch phases.

Responsibilities
• Support Project Managers with multiple releases per year
• Oversee project releases based assigned based on project scope and level of experience
• Assist with emergency change releases (ECR), track change requests (CR) and oversee minor site updates (MSU)
• Work with PM’s and SA on tracking Service Desk Requests
• Assisting with User Acceptance Testing including requesting test accounts and work with designers to ensure all UAT deadlines are met
• Update weekly documentation including status reports and project dashboard
• Serve as a resource for all issues, questions, documentation, etc., that will arise across the full project lifecycle
• Attend daily IT stand ups and email meeting recap
• Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with team members
• Maintain awareness of new and emerging industry practices as well as current standards applied within the company

Qualifications and Skills
• Full understanding of and experience working through the software development lifecycle – from concept to completion – for web projects. Mobile experience a plus.
• Understanding and experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments
• Experience with CMS, project management software and MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Self-starter attitude and ability to build a strong rapport and trust with resources in several functional areas
• Demonstrated ability to work with teams in multiple geographic locations a plus
• 2-5 years of Project Manager experience focused on web and mobile development projects
• Strong written & oral communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
• PMP Certification a plus
