Jr. Marketing Generalist/Specialist/Coordinator

The Marketing (Communications) Generalist participates in a broad range of communication efforts, including the creation and dissemination of communication materials, organization of local in-house meetings/events, monitoring ongoing communication initiatives, and ensuring alignment with organizational communications needs. 

This is not a senior level position; ideal candidate will have a couple of years of professional experience 
This role is a part-time role approximately 16-24 hours per week 
Will need to be onsite

Major Accountabilities: 
• Coordinate organization communications, establish and maintain guidelines 
• Manage an organization-wide newsletter, and quarterly updates for leadership 
• Work with researchers & analysts to identify stories to be highlighted locally 
• Work with site leadership to ensure consistent and effective internal communications 
• Assist and prepare content for email and intranet website(s) featuring analytics and business insights 
• Assist functions in creating digital content and other communications materials (providing templates and as well as occasionally producing content) 
• Prepare and distribute internal communications, in a timely manner, via electronic materials 
• Manage logistics for local events that happen across various locations and websites 

MUST HAVES:
• 1-2 years' experience in internal communications, preferably in a financial services or technology company/organization 
• Superb oral, written communication and presentation skills 
• Flexibility to manage competing priorities and shift focus as determined by changing needs 
• Intelligence and self-confidence to work with senior leaders 
• Demonstrated record of success in synthesizing various sources of information to develop effective communications 
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multi-faceted team, and to operate in a rapidly changing and culturally diverse environment 
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines 
• Excellent interpersonal skills 
• High level of energy with a proactive approach to problem-solving; results driven 
• Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential materials with discretion and professionalism 

Tools Knowledge Requested: 
• Microsoft Office Suite; including SharePoint 
• HTML and website design, a plus
