Jr. Marketing Communications

Basic Function and Scope of the Position:

This individual will apply company policies and procedures to support winning marketing strategies and associated campaigns/programs in concert with commercial business strategy and brand strategy. This person will follow standard practices and procedures to analyze situations or data to aid the development of strategic design and communications plans, and maintain quality assurance and integrated communications across multiple outbound marketing channels. This person will build stable working relationships with a matrixed, geographically dispersed team of commercial personnel in the execution of the above.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Work with Product Marketing to understand customer needs in key segments and adhering to integrated communications policies and procedures, translate these needs into successful marketing programs that drive revenue growth.
• Ensure that all layouts and copy deliver on the fully agreed upon Creative Brief.
• Support Corporate Marketing functional managers with the development and execution of tactical deliverables, liaising with agency when appropriate.
• Track activities, adjusting as needed to maximize effectiveness and routinely reporting back on that effectiveness to Marketing management.
• Build positive working relationships with product marketing, providing assistance with outbound marketing deliverables.
• Work with Product Marketing to communicate customer behaviors, needs and responses to programs in specific segments and in the business overall.
• Maintain budget spreadsheet and Aprimo activities and provide budget and forecasting information upon request.

Preferred Educational Background:
• Bachelor degree in the biological sciences, chemistry, or business/communications.

Preferred Experiential Background:
• 2-5 years experience in marketing, marketing communications and/or product marketing in life sciences or high-tech industry.
• Proven track record and experience in supporting campaign and program development.
