Jr. Interactive Marketing Associate (SEO/SEM)

This exceptionally desirable company to work for is seeking an Interactive Marketing Associate experienced in multiple forms of digital advertising, with an emphasis on SEO, SEM and social media marketing. This role will work with the Interactive Marketing Manager to ensure the continued effectiveness of our digital marketing strategies as we continue our growth and success period. This is a 9 month contract opportunity located in Oakbrook, IL.

So what will the successful candidate be responsible for?
• Run search reports on a regular basis to mine for new keywords, creative text ad, and overall spend
• Create Excel pivot tables, formulas, graphs, and charts
• Traffic, upload, and QA keywords, leveraging the Bid Management Tool process
• Perform account diagnostic checks
• Perform traffic estimates and reviews with Search Manager
• Notify manager of any account issues when pulling daily reports
• Run reports as requested in Bid Management Platform and engine UIs
• Format reports and set up data for analysis
• Write initial draft of creative text ads based on briefing materials
• Participate in search team meetings and offer ideas and suggestions to improve and evolve reporting processes, keywords, and creative
• Create keyword lists to drive qualified visitors to our websites
• Pull local search data and manage listings for aggregators.
• Coordinate promotions to drive awareness of various campaigns for our SEM program
• Assist with the prioritization of our SEO efforts, QC after production
• Perform industry, competition and ad copy analysis

What kind of background do we want?
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
• Although no media planning experience is required a previous internship or consulting with an advertising/media agency or on the client-side are strongly preferred

The ideal candidate will have:
• 2 - 3+ years media experience- building and optimizing Digital/Mobile/SEM Media Campaigns
• Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and the Internet
• Advanced skill with Microsoft Excel (strongly preferred)
o Comfortable working with budgets and numbers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work individually and in a team environment
• Eagerness to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
• Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong project management skills, organization, and attention to detail
• Database/direct-marketing
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to working in an online channel
