Jr. Graphic Designer

Aquent is currently assisting our Fortune 500 client in their search for a part time (15-20 hours per week) Junior Graphic Designer to join their creative team for a 3 month assignment. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years experience in all aspects of design conception and implementation. The Junior Graphic Designer will work on templated flyers, calendars, posters, format brochures and multi-page booklets, special event collateral design (invitations, brochures, posters, branding), Logo and Branding execution, etc. Areas of work will include: branding, graphics, communications, interaction, and environmental design for print media or digital delivery.

Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years experience in all aspects of design conception and implementation
  • Think creatively and strategically
  • Deliver accurate design solutions in collaboration with lead designer
  • Collaborate closely with design team on all aspects of the design process
  • Offer innovative ideas and contribute to the studio culture

Qualifications:

  • Strong design aesthetic and typography skills
  • An eagerness to learn and adapt to design and interactive projects
  • Highly attuned attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills 
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and is resourceful
  • An open and positive personality
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Minimum educational and professional requirements include:

  • 1-3 years of graphic design work experience
  • 4-year college degree (preferably a BFA in Graphic Design or a related design field)
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash) 
  • Portfolio required
