Our local Portland client is looking for you!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Specific to Website Design:
  • Develop, test, deploy and deliver websites, applications and components using HTML, JavaScript, Flash, CSS and other current technologies with a focus on creating the best possible end-user experience.
  • Ongoing website enhancements to increase site traffic and encourage browsing with the objective of capturing qualified visitors to request a tour of a Holiday Retirement community.
    Understand and document requirements to be able to quickly convert those requirements into working online components.
  • Maintain cross browser compatibility.
  • Utilize issue tracking and website analytics tools.
  • Create and modify website designs for a CMS platform.
  • Implement SEO and other techniques throughout website designs.
  • Ensure websites are easy to update, maintain and expand.
  • Collaborate with Copywriter on content calendaring to further enhance SEO.

  • Specific to Graphic Design:
  • Create a diverse spectrum of marketing materials including, but not limited to, collateral (informational packets, brochures), flyers, direct mail pieces, print and online advertisements, trade show displays, interior and exterior signage, internal and external newsletters, presentations and logos.
  • Utilize the Marketing Central project management system for all design jobs.
  • Maintain all graphics production files and notes on shared network drives. .

  • Qualifications:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
    Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or related field required.
  • In addition, 3-5 years of website and graphic design experience in a corporate, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in computer use, relevant software applications (including Adobe Creative Suite and content management systems) and HTML/CSS coding.
  • Experience with SEO, multimedia creation in Flash, photography, videography and copywriting is preferred.
  • Understanding of XML and RSS.
  • Excellent proofreading, editing, organizational, problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints, manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet project deadlines while delivering a quality product.
