Aquent’s Dallas office is looking for a Jr. Copywriter! This Jr. Copywriter opportunity is a contract commitment for one of the industries leading fortune-500 retail companies on their User Experience team here in the DFW! Our client is looking for a well-rounded professional who can strategize and create copy and content that engages consumers and builds their brands. This individual has the opportunity to build their technical and creative capabilities; help create a best in class user experience for their customers.

Did you know that the retail industry is the largest employing industry in the U.S.? As a Jr. Copywriter you will succeed in utilizing your technical / digital background and skills to write enticing content that will feed into the entire user experience for their consumers. You will work very closely with a Sr. User Experience Copywriter / Business Analyst. You will interact with other team members to play a key role in THINKING and strategizing independently and with a team. This is not your average Jr. Copywriting opportunity. This position is very technical, so the ability to code or tech knowledge, i.e. UX story writing or understanding backend website requirements would be a huge plus! This is a very fast paced team, so it is essential to be a quick learner with a high attention to detail who can work well with a lot of moving / interrelated parts. There will be some creative aspects of this role, but the majority will be ensuring consistency, style (Chicago / AP style), and working closely with designers and developers. This is also a very transitional role, so looking for a Jr. Copywriter looking to potentially change their career path into the user experience industry/vertical. We are not looking for someone who wants to be a creative director one day. Someone who has a good balance of the left brain and right brain is the type of individual who will thrive in this role and on this user experience team!

Minimum Qualifications Required:
• 1+ year’s copywriting experience with an Advertising Agency or a high volume in house Creative Services team.
• 1+ year’s digital (web apps, mobile applications, or ecommerce) or user experience (UX story writing/understanding, or backend website requirements)
• A passion for all things digital, especially user experience and ecommerce
• Ability to understand user experience, provide recommendations backed up with rational reasoning
• The ability to work with limited supervision and manage work load with multiple moving parts
• Well developed marketing instincts, including the ability to identify a problem and provide a solution
• Excellent writing, organization and communication skills.
• Highly detail oriented and ability to learn quickly
• The eagerness to learn!
• BA degree.

Plusses:
• Familiar with Sketch 3, Foundation 5 or InvisionApp
• Ability to code
