Jr - Mid Level Creative Writer

The Jr - Mid Level Creative Writer will support our client's Global Communications & Marketing team to develop and write materials promoting the firm’s global narrative on Diversity & Inclusiveness. The candidate will work closely with the Global Leader in creating various marketing messages around Diversity & Inclusiveness. This person will write for various projects including events, speeches, LinkedIn bylines, op-eds, blog style postings and others.

* Candidate MUST have a business background and big plus to have had experience writing about Diversity & Inclusiveness *

DESCRIPTION:

The communication vehicles take many forms, internal and external, including:

•events, speeches, bylines, blog style postings, etc.

The examples listed above may appear in various formats – including print (press releases), online (including web sites, blogs and channels), or pod and video casts.

Your writing samples MUST demonstrate a creative, modern, and hip sophistication to them.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of a multi-disciplined Marketing & Communications team, the position will create and write on a project –by-project basis.

•Working closely with Marketing & Communications Leader to write for events, speeches, LinkedIn bylines, op-eds, blog style postings, etc.

•Managing the content through the firm’s internal approval process.

•Understanding the priority business needs and strategies of the company practices.

•Working with company Marketing & Communications team to develop appropriate messaging about Diversity & Inclusiveness to promote to an external audience. May also be writing for other marketing messages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Candidate MUST have a business background and big plus to have had experience writing about Diversity & Inclusiveness *

•Bachelor’s Degree
•3-plus years of relevant experience in a creative writing role; agency background welcomed
•Excellent writing and editing skills – and a proven record of meeting deadlines

LOCATION:
•Work remote with periodic meetings onsite in New York City

HOURS:
•5-20 hours per week

DURATION:
•Approximately through the end of April 2016
