Inventory Planner

Our client is looking for an Inventory Planner to join their global team.

• Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by program.

• Recap and analyze actual results to plan, and forecast inventories.

• Identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve desired goals.

• Re-forecast and manage inventory to meet marketing partner’s financial goals.

• Communicate forecasts, and action plans to manager and cross-functional team.

• Present forecasts and strategies in key meetings.

• Prioritize and set expectations around key deliverables with cross-functional team and peers.

• Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with peers and cross-functional team.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret meaningful trends from quantitative and qualitative data.

• Solid grasp of math and inventory planning concepts.

• Able to maintain and build effective relationships with cross-functional team.

• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with focus on driving positive results to the bottom line.

• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.

• Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize accordingly to deliver on multiple projects over multiple timelines with flawless customer–centric focus

Managing & Operating Practices

• Communicate forecasts, and action plans to manager and cross-functional team on a weekly basis.

• Assign responsibilities and set clear, measurable objectives

• Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best-practices and develop systems knowledge.

• Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results

• Process Management: Able to create and organize work and processes to get things done in the most efficient manner


• Analytic Skills: Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data

• Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions

• Collaboration: Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners

• Influencing & Negotiation: Can present ideas and directions that lead others to action

• Presentation Skills: Effective in a variety of presentation settings including one-on-one, small and large groups, and with peers and bosses.

• Possess strong organizational and time management skills


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

• 2-4 years’ experience as an Inventory Planner or equivalent

• 1-3 years of forecast, planning or related analytical experience with inventory

• Demonstrates logical analysis and problem solving skills

• Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines

• Knowledge of Office skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced features in Excel considered: Macros, complex formulas)

• Proven ability to communicate, partner and work effectively with many different work groups

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external communications

• Systems and Tools Acumen: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly

• Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills
