Internet Communications Specialist

Ensures all publications and custom communications are made accessible via the appropriate departmental intranet, corporate internet, and contracted third-party portal sites.

Develops and maintains the Provider Communications internal and external websites. The associate will be the lead coordinator for a variety of technically based projects for both internal and external web audiences. Must have a solid understanding of web-based platforms, the ability to keep pace with evolving technologies, and have a thorough grasp of print and screen design elements. The associate must also possess strong writing skills, an extreme attention to detail, and the ability to perform well while on deadline.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Using industry-standard graphic design software, creates the design and layout for department’s publications for both internal and external clients, including newsletters, postcards, posters, manuals, technical guides, etc., in compliance with corporate style (i.e., branding, logo usage, and format).
2. Enhances electronic publications for both internal and external clients through use of graphic, layout, and portable document formatting software.
3. Reviews and maintains the departmental intranet site, including suggesting and implementing improvements, refinements, and additional appropriate content. Some archiving and redesign are required as additional communications are uploaded.
4. Edits, updates, and authors new content for external electronic communication platforms, including web portals, corporate websites, and email listserve platforms. Coordinates changes with internal and external clients.
5. Provides suggestions for specialized software purchases, testing and management to meet publication requirements, and special request needs by management.
6. Initiates the planning, design, and development of special projects for senior management. These can include PowerPoint design applications, database applications, or website creations, and spreadsheets.
7. Performs vendor, competitor, and project cost analyses and/or data.
8. Provides specialized reports to senior management based on specific research, and data management.
9. Assesses administrative and communication processes and procedures, suggests improvements, and implements changes as directed.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
