Internal Communications Writer

Aquent is looking for a seasoned Internal Marketing Communications Writer who will handle all corporate writing for our client's internal employees. This will include writing, editing and proofreading for event communications, internal communications for employees, marketing collateral, blogging, video scripting and more!

Essential Duties Include
• Writes, produces and edits internal communications
• Collaborates with content providers to craft meaningful and understandable communications based on audience needs
• Ensures that internal communications are integrated to reflect the desired tone and culture of the organization and synchronized for effective and timely message delivery

Education & Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
• 3 to 5 years experience developing and executing internal communications

Knowledge & Skills:
• Writing and editing to AP Style, strong proofreading skills
• Must be highly detailed oriented, with the ability to check facts and figures for accuracy, as well as manage the timeliness of approval cycles for edited content
• Proven written and oral communications skills, including the ability to convey complex subject matter in an understandable and interesting style
• Strong project management skills and working within established deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to plan the strategic dissemination of complex topics and execute on those strategies
• Experience with video scripting/blogging a plus
• Previous financial industry writing a plus
