We're looking to hire for a contract writer who is proficient in Internal Communications, and who could be immediately available to support our clients Center of Excellence team.
Employee Communications sets, drives and executes employee/internal communications and engagement strategies for the HR, Legal, Security and Finance Centers of Excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a strategic advisor to COEs leaders, the Internal Communications Writer:
Identifies and creates communications that immerse employees in client's mission, vision, business goals and growth plans to ensure they have a full understanding of their roles in the success of the company.
Writes compelling communications that inspire employees to become active brand ambassadors who help spread the word about client's values, innovation, and financial successes.
Establishes a cadence of communications and is responsible for orchestrating the overall strategy and plan to inspire employees.
Serves in a leadership capacity within their Center of Excellence, advocating for programs and initiatives that will enhance the employee experience and improve the company's external profile.
Creates tools, systems, and processes that enable employees across the COEs to access accurate and compelling stories and information they can use to tell client’s story to internal and external audiences.
Builds and maintains constructive relationships with clients and colleagues.
Primary areas of responsibility for each of the COEs mentioned above include leading the creation and implementation of communication pieces to support
COE Leaders including but not limited to electronic/print communications, website content updates, video/webcast updates, town hall meetings, management and coordination of site visits, quarterly reports.
Business Initiatives including but not limited to growth initiative communications, intranet content, messages from senior leadership team members, employee recognition, and HR-related communications.
Employee Engagement including but not limited to creating/implementing strategy using Employee Engagement Survey data, developing channels and materials that engage and immerse employees in strategic COE efforts, and new-employee recognitions.
Web Content Management including but not limited to overseeing updates to the intranet site with fresh content, developing and implementing a plan that elevates the intranet as the go-to site for all employees.
Technical competencies: MS Office expertise, Adobe Acrobat and Internet navigation skills. PoliteMail and/or Poppulo a plus
Excellent communication skills – written and oral
Demonstrated ability to manage internal client relationships, including executive level, in mid- to large-size organizations, preferably a public and/or global company.
Proven ability to build consensus among diverse leaders and manage sensitive situations discreetly
Ability to work quickly and effectively; strong organizational skills
Effective time management; can lead multiple projects simultaneously with ability to prioritize competing deadlines
Established track record in the field of corporate communications; excellent corporate writing background required
Proven background in leading employee programs and events that achieve results
Effective working in a matrixed, cross-functional organization
Experience in other functions within corporate communications (i.e., media relations, public affairs, digital/social media) a plus.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college, degree in English preferred, or overall Communications or Language Arts degree
7-10 years related experience
