Internal Communications Specialist

The SAP Program Communications Specialist will drive the execution of the communications for the SAP implementation project to maximize engagement. This role is part of the Transition Management Team (also known as Change Management) that is responsible for enabling the organization to successfully prepare for and adopt the SAP system/processes. This role will report to the Transition Management Director.

He / She will be responsible for driving the completion of the deliverables on the Communications Plan by leveraging strong abilities in:

  • Understanding the needs of various audiences (program team, leadership, different global regions, and the organization as a whole),
  • Proactively gathering content from subject matter experts
  • Tailoring the content into compelling messages that will resonate with the target audience
  • Leveraging multiple channels of communication to reach them (eNewsletters, internal websites, PowerPoint presentations, executive speaking notes, emails, posters, etc.)
  • Incorporating feedback from communications metrics and other sources

    We are looking for someone who has demonstrated expertise in writing compelling and engaging messages, thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines, has a well-organized approach to managing and executing his/her work, and is adept at developing relationships. Specific responsibilities include:

    Execute Communications

  • Work with SAP program team to understand key audiences, including their expectations and concerns, levels of commitment, and ability to influence the change throughout the organization.
  • Build partnerships with program team members and employees to identify and develop key messages based on stakeholder expectations and concerns
  • Complete the communications development and review process, including:
  • Gather and identify content
  • Develop compelling message / materials
  • Manage review cycle
  • Distribute messages
  • Strong PowerPoint skills to create and edit presentations
  • Evaluate stakeholder communications and adjust “Communications and Engagement Plan” as needed.
  • Maintain the Program Brand Core Materials (templates) and own the overall program overview information.

    Assist with “Change Network”

    A “Change Network” of company Employees has been engaged with team members from across the organization who will help champion the communications and work of the program team to understand how prepared people are for the transition. This role will work with Transition Management Director to prepare, implement, and support the Change Network; ensure the Change Network understands its role during the change process; monitor its effectiveness, and make adjustments as necessary.
