Internal Communications Manager

One of our awesome clients is looking for a creative, authentic, and experienced Internal Communications Manager to build and execute on a truly collaborative and engaging internal communications program.
You’ll optimize their company-wide All-Hands meetings and communications to keep the team energized, aligned, and informed.
This role will work with individuals across the organization while collaborating most closely with the Executive Leadership Team, People (HR & Office), department Directors, and the Brand + Communications teams.

While your leadership and intuition are impressive, you’re equally known for your ability to have fun and engage an audience. You’re a storyteller and teacher with a history of inspiring others to step up to the plate, even when doing so is a little scary.

What you’ll do all day:

  • Build, implement, and lead Internal Communications program
  • Spearhead the agenda, sequencing, content creation, and presentation training for our regular company meeting, All Hands
  • Coordinate the Executive team’s weekly company update
  • Collaborate on internal communications of all kinds to aid in developing voice, message clarity and creativity
  • Identify and amplify internal stories with imagination and heart
  • Ensure alignment of internal and external stories – help walk the walk and talk the talk
  • Coach team members to deliver internal presentations with confidence, intention, and creative flair
  • Develop resources to guide internal communication while maintaining our open culture and making room for new voices as our client evolves
  • Outline and execute a plan to strengthen our internal communications channels

  • Qualifications
  • 4-8 years Internal Communications, Community Management, Conference/Event Production experience (preferably within high-growth companies)
  • Experience designing and executing a successful internal communication program
  • Gravitas and the ability to quickly establish trust to counsel leaders
  • Solid writing chops and a low tolerance for jargon
  • Strong appreciation for getting at the heart of the “why”
  • A bias toward intentional tactics and measurable strategies
  • Exceptionally high emotional intelligence – you appreciate feelings, actively solicit feedback, and thrive in a truly collaborative environment
  • Curiosity, flexibility, and comfort experimenting with new approaches
  • Natural alignment with our client’s mission and goals
