Internal Communications Manager

Our Client-leading technology company is recruiting for internal communications manager.

This is a new internal communications and employee engagement role reporting into the Head of Internal Communications with UK employees, staff and contingent workers as the primary audience groups.

Role Purpose
• As a new member of the UK Internal Communications team, this role will focus on driving the management and execution of communications programmes, processes, strategies and tactics in support of Internal Communications goals in the UK
• This role closely aligns and integrates with the overall communications vision and narratives for UK
• This role will work closely with the Head of Internal Communications, Internal Communications intern and retained internal communications agency as well as key business stakeholders within UK
• An expert in all matters related to internal communications and employee engagement, the role is balanced between strategy development, implementation and expert communications counsel


Key Accountabilities
• Consistent management, delivery and execution of internal communications programmes to positively impact and advance UK’s internal communications goals;
• Advises and supports business stakeholders and leaders based on communications expertise in building the right plans/ execution in support of internal communications goals in the UK;
• Partners with in house resources and teams, in the UK, Redmond, and agency to help create compelling comms deliverables and programmes ensuing coordination and alignment of messages and activities
• Supports development, tracking and reporting of UK internal communications impact
• Leads implementation, delivery and progress tacking for key UK internal communications programmes and campaigns

Key Success Criteria
• Ability to effectively and efficiently plan, deliver and assess/report impact of internal comms campaigns, content and programmes, on time and to budget
• Respected as a highly valued partner to all relevant business groups and stakeholders
• Takes a highly collaborative approach to communications, including the ability to resolve conflict and ambiguity and achieve outcomes that deliver tangible positive impact for in the UK

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Essential Experience
o The candidate must be a senior communications practitioner with extensive communications experience including a proven track record in running impactful internal communications programmes in large multinational organisations in the technology sector
o Strong track record in managing internal communications campaigns and agency resources to deliver tangible results
o Extensive knowledge and understanding of internal communications discipline, practices and techniques
o Experienced, confident and convincing in giving solid senior level counsel
o Proven experience in managing multi- discipline campaigns
• Personal Attributes/Interpersonal Skills – the candidate should possess excellent collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to partner well with key stakeholders; be a confident self-starter and happy working in a team. They should display organisational agility, embrace and catalyse behavioural change among defined employee groups and be an effective influencer with proven ability to interact with senior leaders and engage well in high-level business focused discussions and decisions
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, be a tech enthusiast and early adopter of technology with strong industry knowledge
• Technical/Functional Skills -- Solid writing skills, content creator and curator, experienced comms practitioner with proven comms programme delivery, active social media follower/leader, competent on all Office software (incl SharePoint, Yammer)
• Qualifications – Degree level qualification preferred
• Strong experience of internal communications, employee engagement and change management with the ability to turn complex ideas into compelling and relevant communications deliverables which deliver business impact and drive employee behaviour
