Internal Communications Manager

Duties:
The nature of the work is focused on understanding and conveying company and product information to internal and external stakeholders through appropriate and effective channels. Develop ongoing relationships with business partners across a range of functions including Product Creation, Retail, Sales and Commerce, HR and others to assist with delivery of strategic communications plans, messaging and products. Coordinate project deliverables and act as a liaison to technical communications team and others. Develop communications strategies/plans that identify business goals to be achieved, measurable objectives, audiences, messaging, creative concepts, communications channels, communications cadence and metrics. Outline and continually update project plans; timelines and delivery calendars; and communications materials. Develop and execute messaging for internal communications. Write and edit content for intranet, digital radio, executive blogs, and internal announcements. Ensure that a thorough review, editing and updating process is followed for all communication. edit content for intranet, digital radio, executive blogs, and internal announcements. Deliver communications projects through a variety of channels Utilize an array of existing channels and tools and emerging technology to deliver global messaging Assist with event production, intranet content and media relations as needed. Manage the budget and resources (internal and external) associated with the execution of the communication strategy. Develop and participate in the business planning, budget and performance target setting process.

Responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, references, manuals, cheat sheets, or instructions

Explain business and technical ideas in simple language
Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals
Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson
Prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with rough drafts
Ensure content flows in a logical sequence
Write clear and concise policies and procedures
Review copies of work to various individuals for feedback – frequent review sessions
Adjust content as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling


Experience – Logistics/SC knowledge is critical for this role. Will need to provide work examples

Skills:
Bachelors in Business, Journalism, or Communications. Journalistic and/or communications background, i.e. reporter at large. 5+ years minimum relevant professional experience. Corporate experience preferred. Typical Office: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.

Experience – Logistics/SC knowledge is critical for this role. We will want to see examples of work they have done previously.

Education:
Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience
