Internal Communications Manager

Aquent’s Denver electronics client immediately needs an Internal Communications Manager for a long-term contract that has the potential to go permanent. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring key messages and information are shared with global employees in an effective, timely, consistent and accurate manner. This role requires very solid writing and project management skills as well as experience with HTML.

Primary responsibilities:

Write and deliver global internal communications
• Receive requests, write or copyedit drafts, and work with requesters to refine copy and obtain approvals.
• Format internal email communications using Adobe Dreamweaver HTML-editing software (experience with a similar tool okay).

Manage global intranet content
• Write, format and publish global internal communications on the global company intranet.
• Utilize Oracle user content management (UCM) system to post and manage intranet content (experience with a similar tool okay).

Support global employee communications townhall meetings
• Project-manage event aspects and production of global employee townhalls that are broadcasted via satellite and webcast to employees, including event setup, scheduling, coordination, and liaising with production and webcast vendors.
• Provide executive presentations support.
• Project-manage internal video content for townhalls, including script writing.

Manage global webcast program
• Organize technical aspects of webcasts, including setup and posting on intranet, as well as liaising with webcast vendor and internal IT department.
• Consult with speakers on presentations development. Rehearse speakers.

Support global leadership meetings
• Project-manage the content.
• Support presentation development process.

Support charitable giving / volunteerism program

Please note: Additional hours and some schedule flexibility may be needed to provide occasional early or late internal communications support. There is potential for occasional travel for certain internal communications projects.


• Five to seven years of proven internal communications delivery at a medium- or large-sized company.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications or related field.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong HTML editing experience using Adobe Dreamweaver (or similar web-editing tool).
• Experience with Oracle UCM or other web content management tool.
• Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with AP Style and/or experience using a style guide.
• Self-directed worker with proven ability to work effectively with internal clients across an organization.

Preferred but Not Required:
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for light graphics editing.
• Experience with survey tools, such as SurveyMonkey, a plus.
• Working knowledge of digital video formats and servers.
• Experience with vendor-managed webcast tools, such as Thompson or WebEx, or similar tool.
