What’s most important :
- End to end internal communications experience with a digital focus; experience in owning the planning & execution of:
o Email newsletters
o All Hands meetings & social events
o Executive communications (slides, emails)
o Thinking strategically and connecting comms back to organizational goals (ie. they should have some experience devising a long-term comms plan)
o They need to be creative, autonomous and have enough gravitas to deal effectively with high-intensity individuals
o Experience in digital

Job Title: Internal Communications & Events Executive

The mission of the Advertising and Online Business team is to ensure the smooth and streamlined management of the organization, focusing on supporting an effective leadership team, internal communications including general announcements, newsletters and events, business review process & reporting & planning rhythm. Organizational health initiatives such as space planning and the physical environment are also covered in this remit, as well as support for the Advertising and Online General Manager in his stakeholder and customer engagement.

Job’s Purpose
Plan and deliver internal communications and events to the A&O UK organization. Support the leadership team in driving business priorities, building morale and pride in the organization, showcasing team achievements, managing information and disseminating knowledge among the team. Work with stakeholders to source information & content as appropriate, align content/style/media and be the point person for any internal communications-related queries.

Key Skills Required

• Strong Journalism or writing & editing qualification and/or experience required
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft SharePoint 2010
• Proficient in Office Outlook 2010
• Experience with basic video production would be an advantage (eg. using a regular digital camera & windows live video editor)

• Creativity, originality and a high level of conceptual thinking
• Flexibility to quickly adapt to stakeholder requirements
• Ability to work with minimal fuss and supervision and quickly and efficiently resolve a wide range of complex and sensitive operational and management tasks across a matrix of business and marketing stakeholders

• Ability to designate tasks and responsibilities to inside and outside resources and keep them on schedule
• Ability to respectfully manage high-intensity executive stakeholders
