Interior/Production Designer

Contract role sitting in SODO for four months and could extend. This job contributes to our client's success by assisting the America’s Concept Design Team in concept development/production building on brand direction already in process. The work delivered from this team directly contributes to the design of outstanding stores that elevate the client Customer Experience.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Under the guidance of Design Manager and/or Senior Designer:

Concept Design support
- Participates in the concept design process by assisting in the development of Design Intent Drawings which are then submitted to outside consultants for the production of Contract Documents.
- Assists in the production of technical drawings and presentations for store designs and/or smaller interior design components. Uses Sketch up, CAD, Photoshop, and InDesign to build complete design intent documents.
- Assists in creating palette boards and presentation boards as needed to communicate design.
- Help to execute and in some cases formulate designs and express a point of view regarding basic space planning, casework detailing, and lighting to SD and DD level.
- Understand and document dimensional and spatial relationships as they impact design, and the customer and employee experience of space. Ability to track detailed shop drawing reviews and dimensional relationships for typical retail components basic fixtures, furniture, equipment, and finishes.

Summary of Experience
- Computer-aided design (CAD) using AutoCAD 1-3 years. Revit a plus.
- SketchUp 1-3 years of regular use.
- Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign software 1-5 years
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture 2+ years
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook 1 year

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Skill in producing cohesive documents at rapid pace.
- Ability to self-motivate and self-guide –and anticipate project needs independently.
- Skill in 3D visualization and working knowledge of color and design principles
- Ability to listen, absorb, communicate, contribute, and share in a team setting defined by consistently shifting priorities
