Bring your interior concept design talents to the table by joining the leading global coffee retailer HQ'd in Seattle, WA. This role sits in Orange County, CA and is an estimated six month project and could extend or convert to FTE.

This role contributes to our client's success by creating furniture, finish and material solutions that supports varied customer need states and points of distribution. Collaborates with other Store Concept partners and other stakeholders to develop multiple design concepts and programs or requirements to support the identified business need. Models and acts in accordance with client's guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Collaborates with crossfunctional teams and other key stakeholders to gather input and develop multiple interior design concept solutions for the program design requirements as it ties to business case. Creates solutions as well as unique and diverse interior concepts and specifications for stores that meet stated business objectives, both operational and financial, promotes company identity and enhances the experience for the consumer. Collaborates with thirdparty vendors, consultants and designers. Works with Concept Design lead on specific aspects of each project. Maintains project schedules, timelines and budgets, and assists in preparation for team, project and client meetings. Works on the development of all drawings, material boards and finishes by design team. Documents and disseminates information about key learnings and best practices to team members. Stays abreast on interior design trends in the field and in touch with the market. Supports the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods and practices to promote Starbucks key messages and achieve a competitive advantage.

Summary of Experience:
High end commercial design development: 4 years. Interior and design experience: 4 years. Management of various design projects and operations: 4 years. Retail or restaurant design: 4 years.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to communicate design concepts visually and through oral presentation. Knowledge of interior materials and finishes. Working knowledge of CAD drafting using Revit, Microstation or AutoCAD software. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Minimum 2 years professional interior design, interior architecture experience. Candidates ideally have a combination of retail roll-out experience, and conceptual development background.

Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Sketch-up software. Experience compiling and assembling finishes and palettes for retail and/or commercial architecture
