Interactive/UX Designer

The User Experience Designer is responsible for concepts and delivery of user experience for web and mobile. You are a well-rounded individual with the ability to think strategically, act creatively, and demonstrate your ideas efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a personal interest in web-based and mobile-base technologies, and a deep understanding of user interface and interaction design.

This is not a back seat support role! You’ll lead concept delivery and collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, as well as other team members including Content Strategists and Usability Specialists, and others within and outside of eBusiness. You will also work closely with a variety of business stakeholders to present and review UX deliverables.

A firm understanding of user-centered design processes and interaction design principles will be crucial to your success here.

**Required Skills**
· Demonstrated experience translating user research into design decisions
• Demonstrated experience using web analytics data to inform design decisions
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• High tolerance for ambiguity matched only by your desire to organize it

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

• Creating the experience and interaction design for transactional, informational, and marketing web and mobile sites
• Understanding target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals and translating them into creative concepts and functional components
• Working closely with different business units to translate business requirements into meaningful interactive experiences
• Leading and/or participating in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing
• Collaboratively developing prototypes for demonstration of concepts to clients
• Developing and documenting detailed user experience specifications for highly interactive interfaces
• Participating in User Experience thought leadership in both the company and the industry

Qualifications
4+ years professional experience as an interactive designer / user experience designer; expertise in both information architecture and visual design
Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in design or a related field strongly preferred
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions
Proficient skill level in the standard tools of the design trade, e.g. Photoshop, Fireworks, Visio, Omnigraffle, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and HTML/CSS
Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
