AQUENT is partnering with one of our COOLEST clients to help them hire an experienced UI/Interactive Designer for their creative team in Richmond, Virginia.

Great design is at the forefront of a great consumer experience. As a member of the brand content marketing creative team, you will be responsible for concepting and designing online marketing and distribution materials for the website, partner sites and social media. You will be responsible for designing informational, educational and entertaining content formats including but not limited to: text-based articles, videos and infographics, while working in an iterative Agile development environment. You will be an advocate for consumers and committed to create the exceptional user experiences.

In This Role You Will
-Collaborate with a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team of strategists, designers and developers to conceptualize, build and validate new design concepts
-Participate in all aspects of the design process to developing problem statements, identifying insights, create compelling visions, concepts and prototypes, and participate in rapid user testing
-Deliver compelling design solutions within a mobile first, responsive framework
-Deliver mockups, wireframes, lo-fi prototypes and other interaction design deliverables
-Drive visual direction and strategy that further enhances ideal experiences and delights people along the way

What You Bring
-Solid understanding of the human-centered design process
-Exceptional organizational skills; you will be dealing with high volumes images and graphic assets that will need to be maintained and remain easily accessible to partner dev teams.
-Ability and desire to work in all phases of the design process (thinking and making)
-A collaborative nature with strong communication skills, sincerity, and a sense of humor in the face of ambiguous design challenges
-Confidence and pride in your work, skills, experience, and expertise (i.e., you are awesome and you know it)
-Strong and open communication; you'll need to stay on top of letting your team know where you are on projects and be vocal about anything standing in the way to getting projects finished by the deadline.
-High attention to detail; you'll need to be accustomed to following process steps and proofing your work to ensure the highest quality, and basically be obsessed with pixel perfection.
-Thorough understanding and support of web design and development from concept ideation to slicing and dicing mocks into deliverable markup
-Have a passion for learning new design tools and methodologies and sharing knowledge with other like-minded professionals


Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree or military experience
-2 years of experience with User Experience Design, Interaction Design or Web and Mobile Application Design


Preferred Qualifications
-4 years of experience with User Experience Design, Interaction Design or Web and Mobile Application Design
-Master of Adobe software: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and other UX prototyping, wireframing, and mapping tools
-Working knowledge of Sketch and Zeplin; understand how to use prototyping tools like InVision.
-Advanced understanding of XHTML/HTML5 and CSS
-Basic understanding of Javascript and/or jQuery for prototyping.
-Some areas of experience that would be a big plus: Content marketing, user testing and social media best practices
