Interactive Project Manager

Our client is a fortune-500 pharmaceuticals and bioscience firm in need of an Interactive Project Manager to join their busy, growing in-house advertising studio. This is an excellent opportunity for a PM who is well-versed in digital/interactive media and who has some ad agency background. Project/Practice Management Requirements

• Gathers project business, marketing and technical requirements in order to develop project estimates and SOWs
• Partners with technical lead to develop project plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of the project
• Collaborates with team leads to identify resources and clearly communicate project needs and timelines
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and its scope
• Reviews deliverables prepared by developers prior to hading off to Account Management team or Traffic Team to assure proper implementation of requested changes and design
• Liaises with the Account and Traffic team for routing deliverables through proofing, legal/medical review, client review, etc.
• Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards
• Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
• Works closely with Team Leads and Interactive Managers to minimize our exposure and risk on projects
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Assists with proposal efforts including completing project scoping, LOE assessments and timeline development
• Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project
• Coordinates with external vendors and creative agencies to finalize timelines, identify roles and responsibilities and outline agency standards for file hand-off

Project Accounting and Financial Management Responsibilities

• Responsible for logging accurate time against projects in a timely manner
• Tracks and reports team hours and project expenses
• Communicates actual vs. estimated LOE to Interactive Management Team
• Monitors and manages project budget
• Facilitates change orders to allocate additional budget when applicable
• Facilitates image asset procurement paperwork
• Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly
• Gains an understanding of our pricing model and billing procedures in order to manage project finances efficiently
Communication Skills
• Participates in team and client meetings effectively and efficiently
• Holds regular status meetings with team members/developers and client services
• Keeps project team well informed of changes in project scope, deadlines, changes within the organization and general corporate news that affects our daily operation
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors
• Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
• Effectively conveys our message and approach in both written and verbal communications

Technical Understanding

• Possesses general understanding in the areas of web development, application programming, database and system design
• Experience managing Exploria or Proscape projects a huge plus
• Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures
• Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities
• Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements
• Understands at a high level the abilities and limitations of industry standard technologies and software packages
