Interactive Designer with UX/UI

Vitamin T's client is an awesome digital (mobile, tablet, kiosk, web) provider of self-service ordering solutions for the restaurant industry.

They are an award-winning, trailblazer in digital ordering and customer engagement programs for the quick service restaurant and casual dining industries.

They're seeking a Visual Designer with 4+ years experience with a strong understanding of UX/UI, will be responsible for creating digital designs, strategizing and participating in the conceptual development and execution of creative deliverables under the guidance of the Creative Director. This person will demonstrate an ability to be a strong team leader and mentor to senior and junior level designer and must have the ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast paced multiplatform environment.

Location: Century City
Duration: Starts July - open-ended freelance, temp to perm opportunity (40 hours a week)
Pay: $35/hr DOE
Department: Marketing Team

Primary Responsibilities:
• Creating and communicating concepts from inception to completion (multi-platform)
• Providing guidance to the design team
• Implementing client and internal branding
• Balances strategic development with business/client objectives and goals.
• Provides quality assurance of all creative deliverables.
• Contributes to the innovative development of the creative department.
• Partners closely with Project Managers and Creative Director and is responsible for properly communicating the scoping of design and copy to ensure deliverables are met.
• Must be collaborative, working with creative team of 5, Marketing 2-3 and Freelancers such as writers 2-3

Required Education, Experience and Skills:
• Must be a hands on designer – pick up work will be needed for a multitude of projects.
• Willing to work on production aspects to a fully realized designs
• Strong design portfolio with 4+ years education BFA preferred
• Minimum 4+ years agency experience or product development environment including extensive knowledge and experience working in e-commerce.
• Strong visual design and image-making skills and ability to articulate and communicate concepts and ideas, ability to lead brainstorming and concept sessions
• Strong typography skills are a must.
• Mobile & Online Design are a MUST.
• Wireframing and the understanding of UX/UI are a must; must have experience with Axure or other wireframing software.
• Some experience with print and marketing collateral design is a plus.
• Working knowledge of the technical aspects of photography a huge plus.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
• Expert in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and other benchmark design applications. Experience with Adobe After Effects is a plus.
