Interactive Designer with Strong UX Skills

Interactive Designer with a very strong technical foundation in the UX discipline and a stellar portfolio demonstrating strong, elegant, clean design based on solid adherence to UX principles is needed to join a team full of talented professionals as they take on a large scale redesign of all customer facing websites for an industry leading education focused company. Your goal will be to help redesign the websites to better reflect the client’s needs by optimizing the UX for new and existing customers based off market analysis, extensive feedback and testing. You will interact with teams from all divisions of the company developing concepts, wireframes, and mockups for web and mobile products.

Exceptional portfolio of clean, highly usable marketing / ecommerce sites and a strong foundation in multivariate testing, analytics and SEO e-Commerce (or other retail/customer-facing website) is preferred, not required. You should be familiar with Omniture (primary) or have some experience with Google Analytics, which will transfer well here too.

Temp-Perm or Long-Term Contract opportunity in clients NYC office.

Responsibilities:
• Design the information architecture, interaction flow and user interface of .com sites based on market analysis, customer feedback, analytics.
• Develop concepts, wireframes and mockups for courseware and mobile products. • Continually improve performance and conversions through usability and multivariate (A/B) testing.

Requirements:
• Great design skills that can address a variety of audiences from young, tech savvy young adults to a formal corporate audience.
• High degree of creativity, interaction design experience and problem solving ability.
• Strong online portfolio that includes comps, flows, wireframes and research findings demonstrating proficiency in a variety of design tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Visio/Omnigraffle.
• Strong understanding of front-end development; ability to code HTML/CSS
• Bachelor’s degree with formal education in interaction design, human factors or equivalent work experience.
