Interactive Designer (Agency Exp Wanted)

Consider this outstanding contract to hire role with a multi-location firm creating cutting edge design.

In this role you will:
• Develop interactive designs targeting a variety of users and audiences, that reflect the client’s brand and inspire user interest.
• Create strategic, user-focused designs with intuitive navigation on a variety of devices.
• Develop multiple stylistic approaches to a problem, accept critiques, and iterate on designs.
• Build interactive design solutions, including rapid prototypes and mockups as needed for user testing and product development.
• Create design solutions across wide range of technologies including: tablets, smart phones, websites, social applications, etc.
• Have an exceptional understanding of color, how to optimize images, and troubleshooting cross browser issues.
• Create and maintain design standards across a wide variety of different technology platforms.
• Collaborate with both creative, development and account teams.
• Create user-focused designs, driven by the customer experience.
• Translate wireframes, comps and functional requirements into functional xHTML/CSS/Javascript.
• Understand SEO and accessibility issues, and how they relate to development.

You should have:
• Strong visual design skills, and a flexible aesthetic.
• Advanced understanding of User Experience, Usability Behaviors and the ability to apply those usability and UI standards.
• Excellent grasp of design fundamentals (fonts, typography, color, layout).
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficient knowledge of designing for HTML, CSS, JQuery and AJAX.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and be a team player.
• Ability to work with a development team to create and implement new websites.
• Ability to build web pages to match original creative vision.
• Demonstrated "out of the box" thinking employed to produce new ideas and solutions.
• Related degree.
