Interactive Designer

As part of the Agency, the Interactive Designer will focus on responsive email design projects as well as creating innovative interactive and visual design concepts for the digital medium including websites, mobile/tablet devices and social platforms.

This person will serve as a visual and UX designer on various online projects, providing initial brainstorming and strategy through front-end implementation (HTML/CSS), with design opportunities ranging from responsive email development and adaptive creative campaigns to online product centers and microsites. The designer must have the ability to combine strong concepting skills with creative design & execution. Solutions should demonstrate a thoughtful approach to strategy and the brand promise.

The Interactive Designer must also understand the aspects and steps of the creative process in building interactive design solutions. This includes experience in executing concept sketches, information design hierarchy, wireframes, hi-fidelity wireframes, Photoshop comps, and optimized graphics production; all while supporting, leveraging, and enhancing the Quill.com online brand standards. Working interdependently with other team members on key initiatives to ensure that the creative execution maintains a strong, consistent look and feel will be essential.

The Designer must maintain a basic understanding of the business teams marketing objectives and work to drive the business through effective design and supporting a unique and differentiated experience. Ability to convert creative strategy into compelling design treatments will be essential. Partnering with other designers with projects as needed.

The designer will actively participate in creative shaping meeting as well as present design concepts during creative reviews. Must have the flexibility to understanding and apply feedback. This person will also work closely with the account services team to be balance client expectations, requirements and schedules

Basic Requirements:
• Associates Degree from a creative/design or a related area. (Bachelors Degree strongly preferred.)
• 5 years of experience in advertising/marketing focused interactive design experience.
• Experience designing responsive email campaigns
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Strong online portfolio with examples of email and web projects demonstrating
creative thinking and flawless execution.
• Experience designing across multiple platforms and/or devices, including responsive and adaptive design.
• Experience working directly with developers.
• Have strong project managements skills and be able to move quickly and comfortably between multiple projects.
• Concepting and illustration skills are a strongly preferred.
• Ability to create solutions from design concept through final execution.
• Must be motivated, highly organized, detail oriented and flexible during peak workload
• Above all, must have great sense of humor as well as a sense of urgency.
