This position is responsible for the creative execution and development of interactive materials including (but not limited to): web pages, websites, online banner ads and emails. Candidate must have an advanced knowledge of HTML, and Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator and InDesign and must have a solid background in web/interactive design. Must have a demonstrated experience in graphic design disciplines, including an understanding of typography, color, layout and best practices for the web. She/he must be self-motivated, self managed and a good communicator and collaborator.
The interactive designer will be a leader on the design team and work with colleagues and project business owners to design integrated online marketing programs and/or customer focused functional interfaces, developing strategies, and ensuring projects meet the business and revenue goals. The interactive designer must be able to successfully present viable, on brand design concepts, incorporate feedback, and deliver all assets optimized, coded and web-ready, ensuring that brand and style guidelines and overall site quality is met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Concept and design compelling, highly usable web pages, websites, online banner ads, emails and other interactive tools for high-profile consumer facing health content and e-commerce websites.
Document and present work in Concept and Creative Briefs.
Create all final documentation and optimized deliverables.
Communicate design ideas to internal partners.
Ensure projects meet all business objectives and strategies.
Package, code and deliver all optimized project files.
Organize and manage days to day projects.
Develop and maintain partnerships with internal partners.
REQUIRED SKILLS 3-5 years experience
Deep understanding and experience in graphic design disciplines including layout, color and typography
Understand and incorporate online and graphic design usability best practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – can clearly communicate design decisions
Fluent understanding of current web, email and interactive trends and technologies
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for the Web: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator and InDesign
Bachelors degree in Industrial/Graphic/Interactive Design, Fine arts or equivalent work experience
Understand marketing and functional requirements documentation
Thorough understanding of browser technologies, color palettes, image formats and optimization techniques
