Interactive Designer

The Interactive Designer will work on site with the lead user experience architect and UI developers. You MUST have strong knowledge of HTML and CSS and an extensive, active portfolio of responsive design samples. You'll work 20-40 hours per week, 3-5 days per week (based on team needs) on-site, in the client's office in Ambler. There may be occasional travel to the Philadelphia or New York offices.

Responsibilities include:

• Working from pre-defined wireframes provided by the user experience architect to design the look and feel of an interface that will work across a variety of browsers and resolutions using Responsive Design
• Produce the necessary HTML, CSS, and if required JavaScript, to support designs
• Construct HTML, CSS and JavaScript necessary to frame out a Responsive Design architecture
• Construct semantic markup with an emphasis on browser compatibility, accessibility (508 compliance), and SEO (search engine optimization)
• Test their designs on supported browsers and resolutions
• Observe user-testing of the interfaces
• Provide any necessary image asset support for executive presentations at touch-points throughout the life cycle of the project
• Offer design advice and support based on responsive design experience

Job Requirements
• Experience in web-based software/platform design
• Experience with creating responsive design architecture using CSS media queries
• Proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop
• Proficient with vector-based design applications, such as Adobe Illustrator
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Experience designing and coding for all the mainstream web browsers
