Are you an Interactive Designer that is extremely conceptual with at least a few years of agency experience and a killer portfolio to prove it? If so, we want to hear from you!

What better way to start the new year than with an awesome marketing agency located in DC? Our client has a lot of very exciting new projects coming up and they could really use your help! You would be working with the Art Director and Creative Director to visualize concepts, create overall designs, and execute interactive creative projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Art Director and Creative Director to develop state-of-the-art interactive creative solutions that achieve communication goals from creative briefs
- Work with other creative partners to create thumbnails, layouts, and computer-generated comps that are cohesive with Copywriter’s work
- Gains a solid understanding about direct and integrated marketing business
- Keep up-to-date on design trends and marketing news to make sure work is as fresh and relevant as possible
- Follow detailed instructions on assigned designs and coding to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time
- Ensure all layouts and digital production files are accurate
- Work as or with Flash Designer and Flash Developer throughout projects to ensure that design and development solutions are visible and innovative
- Ensure that all changes and adjustments are reported accurately to the Art Director and Creative Director
- Work with Copywriters to make sure all copy inserted in layouts is accurate and fits correctly before sending to client
- Work with team to present concepts to VP/Creative Director, as well as the Account Management team when appropriate
- Participate in project kick-offs as requested
- Report regularly and proactively to Creative Director and Project Manager on the status of projects, escalating resource and timing concerns when needed.
- Ensure production files are accurate and organized before uploading to the server and ensure all production files are backed up regularly
- Work with creative teams to ensure presentation materials are well prepared and high quality
- Adhere to agency defined workflow procedures
- Uphold agency-wide policies, procedures, and processes across the team
- Exemplify fiscal responsibility by adhering to agency and client policies and procedures


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Art/Design/Graphic Arts or related field, plus one or more years of Web development or online design experience
- At least 1-2 years agency experience
- Online portfolio showcasing work with samples of advertising and integrative campaigns and a variety of clients
- Proficiency in Interactive/Web Design or Graphic Art software programs (i.e., InDesign, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver)
- Understanding of how to visualize, concept, and build relevant creative materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to team with others and lead when necessary
- Ability to offer proactive solutions and ensure successful progression
- Ability to meet high standards for quality and accuracy under tight deadlines
- Ability to work above and beyond the call of duty and provide guidance across departments in a team and matrix environment
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task effectively
- Ability to exhibit client service approach with results driven performance
- Understanding of how to solve marketing problems with creative solutions
