Interactive Designer

Our client, a well established behemoth in their industry, is looking for a talented Interactive Designer to join our team on an ongoing freelance basis!  Work can be done remotely (remote, off site, off-site)
The Interactive Designer applies creativity and knowledge of interactive design, web development, as well as digital marketing to uphold the client's high standards. 


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Must be a design ninja, a jack-of-all-trades, with expertise in web development, typography, graphic design, art direction, photography, and video 
Content manage all web properties, ensuring that all content meets design standards and stays up to date. 
Design front-end / UI elements such as web pages, e-mail newsletters, and social media graphics. 
Lead the creative effort for all digital, interactive, and social media marketing campaigns. 
Collaborate with the marketing team, IT team, as well as outside web development vendors to accomplish campaign and internal communication goals. 
Hands-on coding of websites using mobile-friendly & responsive techniques, including HTML5, PHP, CSS3, jQuery, and Javascript. 
Managing and troubleshooting web-powered digital signage displays. 
Use knowledge of web analytics, social media data mining, API’s, and real-time digital marketing strategies to make educated design decisions. 

Required Experience:
Must be an expert in hand-coding websites in HTML, CSS, and PHP without the use of a WYSIWYG editor. Experience in designing, developing, and editing open source content management systems such as Drupal. Must be proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator - additional Adobe Creative Cloud experience is a plus. Must have experience managing content on large websites and deploying successful email marketing campaigns across various channels. Must be a creative leader, have a great work ethic, and have an eternal love for all things web. 

Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, Web, or Graphic Design or relevant technical degree required: and at least 3 years of related experience programming, building and maintaining websites and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience with mobile/responsive site design, Drupal, and other open source content management systems. Experience in digital signage and version control systems such as GIT a major plus.
