Interactive Account Manager/Project Manager

We are seeking an Interactive Account Manager to work on a project basis with our team at an Interactive Agency here in Chicago. This work may be done off site remote, but attending key client and internal meetings.

Project Managers will provide the structure and support the overall vision for assigned projects (e.g. web development, advertising, media, strategy, technology, etc.)
You would be responsible for:
-Overseeing and directing multiple projects at a time (within a given brand or client or potentially across multiple brands or clients) or a singular, mid-scale or complex project.
-Ensuring that these projects meet or exceed internal team and client expectations and are delivered on-time and on-budget.
-Communicating relevant project information to the client (e.g. status, risk, issues, deliverables).
-Interfacing with the day-to-day client contact to assure that the solution is understood and addresses the customer’s business requirements.
-Planning, organizing, monitoring and managing the activities of other team members participating in the assignment (e.g. User Experience, Technology, Strategy, Creative, Account Planning).
-Ensuring the on-time, on-budget delivery of projects and accurate financial & time management of the projects to which they’re assigned.
-Participating in the business development process, by listening and identifying opportunities to further support the client and grow the account.
-Working independently, with moderate input from direct manager needed for job performance.

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
3 - 5 years of experience managing interactive projects, preferably in a consulting or agency environment.
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
Competent knowledge of one or more of the following: software development life cycles, web technologies, web development processes and the delivery of solutions with creative and engineering components, media and advertising projects, digital strategy projects.
Competent understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Proven team-building skills; experience facilitating teams and clients.

• Ability to solve problems with keen instincts and organizational experience.

• Must have a focus on detail and driving results.

• Working knowledge of contract interpretation and negotiation.
