Our art directors are passionate about both design and concept with a strong foundation in User Experience and Interactive Design. They will be challenged with creating and leading cutting edge experiences for a loyal customer base that is always looking for something new. We are looking for someone fearless who will drive the brand forward and stays ahead of our customer's taste in digital. The Art Director will report to the Digital Creative Director and partner with the copy, marketing, photography and technology teams to develop best-in-class brand experiences for our highest profile initiatives.
The work: key product launch campaigns, support for major events, engagement pieces for online/mobile channels, social media, and other various support for any blue chip creative, merchandising, marketing or technology objective.
The Art Director brings relentless attention to detail, great ideas, and impeccable execution to all of the work. They are surrounded by a team of partners who are supportive and want to make great work every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and produce site launches, emails, and special projects/presentations
Understand the creative and marketing objectives for each project assigned
Work with Senior Art Director and Web Design team to extend and optimize Web functionality, site architecture, user interface and navigation
Partner with marketing and technical partners to design brand-right layouts for the Web with an eye to performance and ease of use
Manage temporary help or freelancers as assigned
Ensure deadlines for assigned projects are met
Produce, optimize and output final Web-ready digital artwork in support of site updates
Maintain absolute accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative and production process
Maintain and update content templates to ensure accurate and efficient design production

QUALIFICATIONS:
Conceptually strong with a sophisticated sense of visual design
Experience in leading and managing in-house creative teams and freelancers
Drive to deliver great work in a fast-paced environment
Experience in integrating with traditional creative teams for campaigns
Strong communication and presentation skills
Passion for developing intuitive and engaging user experiences
Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, customer-friendly experiences
Discerning eye for fashion photography ¿ cropping, retouching and compositing
Positive, collaborative, inclusive and flexible team member
Highly organized with extreme attention to detail
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree (Design / Interactive) or equivalent experience
5-7 years experience in design / advertising
Mastery of appropriate tools & technology
Advanced Photoshop, with excellent digital photo-manipulation and compositing skills
Working knowledge Illustrator and InDesign
Understanding of the capabilities and best practices relating to the use of front-end Web technologies
Experience in design for mobile and touch devices
Proven talent in graphic and design design
Strong retail/fashion brand or agency experience desired
Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design
Design for responsive layouts and touch interactivity
Experience overseeing or editing copy a plus
