Interaction Designer/Information Architect

The Interaction (Web) Designer will have expert knowledge of usability best practices, a thorough understanding of Web and mobile app development processes and design capabiities for large, global brands.

This person can work as a REMOTE UX Designer with about 25% regular travel to our client in mid-eastern Wisconsin. Most expenses paid. Talent can reside anywhere. We are looking for someone with experience in UX/IA, having handled documentation, and structure for large websites and digital projects, and working with user experience. eCommerce experience or product sites are also a plus.

He/she will:

Work with web PMs to produce user/process flows, site maps, annotated wireframes, schematics, screen concepts, prototypes, functional and presentation specifications, and style guides for existing and new Web sites and mobile applications.

Collaborate with strategy partners to produce content, design and brand messaging through digital channels.

Partner with Technology Team on design feasibility and to understand the documented technology standards for the platform and browser/OS specifications.

Gather and understand information about user needs from stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering and functional / non-functional specifications.

Practice usability prototype testing.

Visually - create sketches, mind maps and storyboards for brainstorming as well as provide written instruction for other designers to follow.

Collaborate with agency partners, designers, and programmers to design interaction models and user interface elements to build a robust global design pattern library.

Assess websites or apps to ensure they are held up against competition in the same industry.
