Interaction Designer

As a member of the User Experience Design team, the Interaction Designer will work with multi-disciplinary teams to strategize and apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize among user needs, business goals, and technological realities for each project.


Major goals include: This position is extremely collaborative, and requires a high degree of professionalism and empathy for end users.

Responsibilities
• Drive and apply user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, marketing, regulatory, and others.
• Effectively utilize and teach relevant user experience methods, such as innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem framing, and design principles.
• Take ideas and concepts, and visualize them such that they are communicated effectively and compellingly for internal leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, and customers.
• Translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity, despite the complexity of a system.
• Deliver UX visions, UI specifications, wireframes, workflows, and high- and low-fidelity prototypes.
• Build positive, collaborative relationships across teams/groups/functions through facilitative leadership to deliver great results and to "raise the bar" continually as an effective leader of positive change
• Collaborate with key product stakeholders to understand and support product design goals for existing and new products, and to ensure those goals are supported in the solution design
• Work with user researchers to plan usability tests, develop success criteria, analyze results and provide recommendations in accordance with FDA and other regulatory guidance (where applicable)

Required Skills
• Expert knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research.
• Broad knowledge of human factors principles, design standards and trends, and cross-platform development.
• Organized, self-directed, efficient and able to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner.
• Expertise with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Axure, Omnigraffle and skilled in creating 'lo-fi' prototypes to share with users in a fast, iterative manner.
• Experience with the healthcare field and medical devices a plus.
• Strong online portfolio available for viewing
• Seasoned in Agile development processes.




Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in User Interface Design, Cognitive Science, or equivalent.

• Minimum 4-6 years experience Knowledge and Skills.
• Demonstrated track record of success designing complex software systems in a fast paced, collaborative environment
• Experience with application of design theories, principles, and concepts to information technology and consumer product and service design.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Strong understanding and experience in designing and implementing research and data collection plans for interactive and interface design testing and acceptance.

• Evaluating designs and making recommendations for improvements to designs and technology to improve product quality and overall interactive and interface design.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate interactive and interface design data, design proposals and product specifications and negotiate options at management levels.

• Strong skills in creative design tools (Sketch, Principle, InVision, Adobe Creative Cloud, CSS, HTML5).
