Interaction Designer

0 people like this description

Our client has been an industry-leading provider of content creation tools for more than 16 years.

Even though they are an established company, they are in full-on startup mode – they doubled revenue in 2013 and increased staff by 50%. They launched a cloud-based subscription offering in 2011, giving their customers a choice between the existing self-hosted (on-premises) product and the new cloud service product.

This 3 month contract is to help us with critical deliverables. You will work side-by-side with the experienced, agile UX team in downtown Seattle.

Skills & Requirements
We’re looking for an experienced freelance UX designer to work closely with the R&D team in designing a product that is easy to use and raises the bar for content authoring. Your focus will be interaction design rather than visual design.

Working collaboratively with product managers, developers, and the principle UX designer, you’ll participate in team brainstorming, sketch, create wireframes in UXPin, and define interaction flows for a full-featured SaaS web application.

Although you won’t be writing code, you’ll work closely with developers and apply your understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and modern web application design approaches to specify user interactions for desktop browsers, tablets, and mobile devices.

Using UXPin, you’ll create semi-interactive prototypes for remote user testing and will help conduct these tests.

Your portfolio must clearly demonstrate your deep understanding of user personas, scenarios, and business goals. It should include examples of sketches, wireframes, and explain your roll and your thought processes.
