Our client is a leading digital education company creating innovative course application products for kindergarten through life. As a member of the user experience team, the Interaction Designer will work under the
supervision of the Lead Interaction Designer, and work on the visual and interaction design of all MHE digital products. The Interaction Designer is a creative thinker, critical problem­solver, and a team player with a proven understanding of interactive technologies and storytelling techniques.

Essential Accountability...
•Design for all enhancements, new features, new digital products while working in Agile teams with IAs, BAs, product managers/owners, and developers
•Create and strategize for standardizing design patterns and for evolving and refining elements of the GUI while understanding impact on technical feasibility, user experience consistency, and working within and across all current and legacy projects to ensure quality
•Help develop and recommend processes, standards, styleguides, improvements, from GUI and CSS implementation, to defining and refining working relationships with team members and stakeholders
•Support other departments in orphan design/production requests, such as image requests, art directing outside vendors, developing branding/styleguide documents
•Distill and design for the core user experience, able to create and enforce a narrative through interactive and visual means
•Critical thinker and creative problem­solver who can evolve and move the brand and products forward while juggling business needs, technological legacy issues, and time/resource constraints
•Excellent visual designer who understands how to design for complex user interfaces rich in information and interactivity, creating visual hierarchy through aesthetic clarity, can design for long ­term sustainability and not the latest flashy new trend
•Excellent understanding of latest CSS/HTML/JS capabilities to help inform design decisions, and of building close working relationships with developers
•Advocate for the user and evangelize the value of the UX team
