Interaction Designer

Our team requires an experienced Interaction Designer to help define the next generation voice and gesture experiences; candidate needs strong visual design skills to create prototype applications. Every day is different; designers need to be self-driven; creative; able to rapidly prototype new scenarios, and work work with developers and business people; able to wear lots of hats; critical to have effective communication skills; user-centric design.
Strong knowledge of user interface and functionality design required. Strong creative skills and ability to generate design ideas required. Advanced experience in creating and implementing usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams is required. Fluency with standard design software tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) required. Advanced interaction design and web technology skills (i.e. Flash/Blend) required. Strong knowledge or experience with database served websites. Experience working with rich client or web applications preferred. Must have the ability to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations into specific areas of product design to contribute to user features and functionality. Must be familiar with industry standards and trends. Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team required. Must have ability to own and drive projects. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Daily activites:
• Deliver end-to-end designs by producing scenarios, process flows, information architecture diagrams, wireframes, and other artifacts required to develop and evolve user experience designs
• Work (primarily) with interaction and other visual designers to ensure the motion design enhances the overall user experience
• Help develop, manage, and refine UI pattern libraries and interaction guidelines
• Work with user researchers to coordinate testing efforts, interpret test results, and incorporate results into design efforts
• Effectively communicate with developers through implementation phase to realize design vision
• Communicate, defend, and build consensus around visual + motion definition and design direction
