Interaction Designer

0 people like this description

Our client, which supports and incentivizes travel agents to book through their global sites, has grown dramatically over the past few years. In 2010 a global portal was built out to support the TAAP program. The portal allows travel agents to see what transactions they've booked with them and the commissions they've earned among other things. The growth of the business has caused a need for a complete site renovation and migration into their E3 platform utilizing their UI Toolkit. Further, additional functionality is required to continue to grow that business.
This position will redesign the user interface to improve upon current content, simplify the navigation and messaging capabilities, and revamp the overall look and feel of the site to more closely align with the brand. The designer should utilize existing design elements from the Toolkit as much as possible, and design certain elements from scratch as necessary. The new TAAP 3.0 site is scheduled to launch in June 2013, with several planned ‘phases’ of added functionality throughout the year.
The expectation of the Interaction Designer is to:
• Be familiar with their design and UI Toolkit
• Perform a site content audit to include working with and identifying what of the current portal and new functionality can migrate to their UI Toolkit and what parts need addressing specifically with a new UI/UX
• Define, optimize, and prototype the workflow and user interface of the site for the redesign and new functionality
• Work with UI Designer to define the user experience
• Perform revisions, reviews, and additional design that may come up
