Aquent's client, an American multinational technology company specializing in Internet-related services and products, is seeking an Interaction Designer for a 6–month assignment.

Position Overview:
As an Interaction Designer on this team, you’ll collaborate with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers to come up with creative solutions to complex UX challenges. Under the direction of the UX Lead, you will present design mockups, articulate your design thinking, advocate for users, and respond to stakeholder feedback. Your designs will challenge product and technical constraints, transforming complex tasks into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use UI designs for billions of people around the world.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
1. Producing design explorations to visualize product ideas
2. Syncing with UX and PM leads to present designs and obtain feedback
3. Create guidelines for new UX framework components

Required Skills:
+ BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or in lieu of degree 5 years of relevant work experience
+ 3+ years of experience as an Interaction and Visual designer
+ 3+ years of experience collaborating with Product Management and Engineering teams in shipping digital products.
+ Design portfolio that demonstrates strong command of typography, visual hierarchy, and information design.
+ Experience working with a large, complex library of UI components and UX framework.
+ Proficiency with Sketch and other industry standard design tools.
+ Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills

Nice-to-Have:
+ Design portfolio that demonstrates strong product thinking that leads to superior fit between product ideas and users’ needs.
+ Experience creating a large, complex library of UI components and UX framework.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
+ Skills in prototyping, front-end development, or motion graphics.
+ Understanding of trade-offs when designing for Android, iOS, and mobile Web platforms.
+ The ability to make the complex simple and thrive in ambiguity.
