Aquent's client, a large tech company, is seeking an Interaction Designer for a 9–month assignment in their Seattle offices.
Pay: Up to 72.61/hr. DOE

At the heart of this client's internal ticketing system is a good user experience that gets requests routed to the right people to help, indicates clear status and actions, and results in requests fulfilled efficiently. UX design plays a critical part in shaping this user experience and the system's continuous improvement.

The Ticketing System team is looking for a UX Designer with strong information architecture and interaction design skills to collaborate closely with the product and engineering team in taking the ticketing system to the next level through a major front end redesign.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
1. Be able to analyze user and system requirements and design solutions. Design the information architecture and user interface so information is easy to find, understand, and act on
2. Produce UX deliverables ranging from task flows and information models, wireframes, UI mocks, UX prototypes, to design specs (redlines) to address different needs throughout the design cycle
3. Apply design guidelines from Material style guide to create the artifacts that enable developers to implement new UIs efficiently

Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide patterns, best practices, and guidance on interaction design for different devices and platforms
- Measure the usability of new and existing UI
- Communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and designs effectively
- Participate in regular design reviews and other team-wide design efforts

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Information Science, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.
- 4 total years of professional experience in Interaction Design
- 2 years of experience in Sketch & Folio tool
- 4 years of experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other UXers.
- 2 years of experience with complex enterprise application and productivity tool
- Ability to communicate complex and abstract design concepts clearly and persuasively
- Strong portfolio demonstrating command of interaction design (please include role and impact)
