Our client is a large financial institution in Midtown Manhattan, NY and they are looking for a talented Interaction Designer for a 12 to 18 month contract. This Interaction Designer job is 40 hours a week and health benefits and 401K are offered through Aquent.

The User Experience (UX) team is seeking an Interaction Designer to engage on execution work for both web and mobile experiences. The Interaction Designer will be responsible for production of user interface deliverables including concept demos, site maps, and wireframes that clearly represent the on-screen user experience. The Interaction Designer will also be tasked with interpreting and following the UX Style Guide so that the project visuals for web and mobile experiences are consistent with the brand.
Interaction Designers should demonstrate proficiency in user centered design and best practices in web and mobile content for both unauthenticated (public) sales sites and client sites (authenticated). The Interaction Designer should ideally have direct experience working on financial web sites.

Responsibilities of Interaction Designer:
• Responsible for producing User Interface (UI) Design deliverables and documentation
• Ensure development of team deliverables aligns with the overall UX Team work plan and program objectives
• Collaborate with the internal teams and SMEs to develop a user interface that aligns with requirements and complies with usability standards
• Work the with Technology Team to understand the documented tech standards for the platform and browser/OS specifications; ensures UX assets track to technology and program standards

Required Skills for Interaction Designer:
MUST HAVE 5+ years experience with downloadable apps, mobile web, and responsive design required.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH iOS , Android and Windows platforms
• Broad UX project team experience working with other interaction designers, visual designers, editors and usability engineers, as well as an understanding of other team members’ deliverables and processes within a user-centered design model
• Ability to collaborate well with business and technology partners
• Experienced producer of wire framing and web documentation using InDesign, Fireworks, Visio, HTML prototyping, and other design tools. (Must have working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite6 InDesign and Fireworks, as well as Axure)
• Experienced interpreter of visual style guides and creating assets consistent with company brand standards as well as established industry best practices
• Experience in usability design, navigation design, online content organization, IA/taxonomy creation and search optimization; knowledge of web usability principles, with professional designation a plus
• Strong attention to detail with respect to creating design deliverables and assets
• Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and issue-resolution skills
