Interaction Designer

As a Design Advocate and Interaction Designer on the Design Relations team you will create tools, resources and content for the designer/developer community. You will tackle complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for billions of people around the world — from first-time users to experts. You are a critical thinker with an eye for detail, a strong understanding of Material Design and experience actually building the designs you create. This role requires collaboration with product managers, designers and engineers throughout the design process, as well as the ability to present and communicate your design process to larger groups. You should also have a strong understanding of the app development process for both Androidn and iOS. Ideally having built an app yourself in the past.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Visual Design/Interaction Design for external tools and resources for the Design Relations team and Material Design
Cross-platform UX/Design Reviews for external partners
Community outreach through workshops, conferences and presentations

Required Skills:
Education: Bachelor of Fine Art in Design or Human Computer Interaction
5 - 7 years designing interfaces for cross-platform products
Ability to create User Flows, Wire Frames, and high fidelity mocks
Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

Nice to Have Skills/Not Required:
Some knowledge of Java and JS is a plus
Experience creating specs guidelines for engineers
Ability to give useful Design feedback
Comfortable speaking in front of groups
