Outstanding opportunity for a Interaction Designer for a 3-6 month contract opportunity with an amazing company in Kent. The Interaction Designer contributes to an improved customer experience on digital touch points, by participating in user experience strategy and execution. The ideal candidate excels at using customer feedback, analytics, UX best practices, and competitive analysis to determine appropriate user/process flows and page interaction. Evangelizes user research and user centered design for best in class customer experiences. Proven track record of execution and delivery of digital interactions that combines strong usability with an engaging experience. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and develop the features and functions of the site and define the overall user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Design amazing products and features with the ultimate user experience
• Participate in developing and defining the user research and experience strategy for mobile apps
• Creates and maintains user experience documentation such as competitive site analyses, scenarios, user flows, interaction notes, detailed functional wireframes and prototypes
• Works closely with Design, Development, Program Management, Marketing Research, Analytics and other teams to develop user-centered features
• Ensures maintenance of a cohesive user interface as it evolves by contributing to a style guide and/or pattern library
• Uses quantitative and qualitative data to create innovative solutions for complex spaces
• Experience planning and facilitating user research activities (interviews, usability testing, surveys, etc.)
• Collaborates with business and technology teams to design great user experiences

Requirements:

• 5+ years in user experience or closely-related fields.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and techniques
• Strong knowledge of UX deliverables such as site maps, wireframes, flow charts, personas, functional specifications, style guides and prototypes
• Strong knowledge of related disciplines such as information architecture, interaction design and brand communications
• In-depth knowledge in iOS and/or Android mobile and tablet platforms
• Previous e-commerce design experience strongly
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to promote open communication and teamwork
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, networking, presentation and negotiation skills
• Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed
• Champions the organization and advocates solutions in the overall Company's best interest
• Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.
• Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions.
• Considers the ultimate impact of decisions and actions on internal and external customers.
• Fosters change in company direction
• Effectively plans and executes changes
• Degree in related discipline: information architecture, interaction or interface design, human-computer interaction (or equivalent)
